Penshurst CE Primary School
Penshurst is a small village Church of England school. We pride ourselves on the unique warmth visitors feel as they walk through the door. Each person, whether they are parents, pupils, staff or governors, is welcomed and valued as part of our school community. All our staff and pupils care deeply about our community and treat others with respect; we acknowledge each other as individuals who are on our own life journey. Our Christian ethos and values lead us to encourage all in our school to be ‘Good Samaritans’ who model compassion and courage – taking time to think of the journey others take and to walk in their shoes.
Our school is a key part of the local community. Working with our local Church (St John the Baptist) we offer our pupils an environment that is kind and caring ; one that believes in the power of friendship and that determination can lead us to great things. Our Christian outlook promotes living life in all its fullness (John 10:10). Like the Good Samaritan we support each other and help those we don’t know through selfless acts of kindness.
Pupils come from the wider area, as well as Penshurst village. We are often able to offer places to pupils who live outside Penshurst. You can find more information in our pupil admissions policy.
Although our school is small we think BIG! We offer our pupils a wide range of sports and enrichment clubs as well as our Early Morning Club and After School Provision, which offers working parents slightly longer hours than the normal school day.
Above all else we value people; we are positive and think creatively and strive for excellence in all we do.
Contact us to arrange a visit; our Year 6 pupils always enjoy showing our school off to visitors.
