Welcome to Beech Class
We are a mixed year 3 & 4 class. The teaching team is made up of Mrs Hamill and Mrs Meadows. We are proud of our class and their achievements. Expectations are high and we make the most of everyday, remembering to try to ‘walk in the shoes of others’ as we do so.
Our favourite class activities are completing the daily mile, sharing stories along with our class mascots and working as a team to keep our classroom organised and a happy place to learn. Children feel secure and are happy to embrace new challenges and opportunities with confidence.
A typical day in Beech class begins with Target Time and Early morning activities. We then look forward to meeting as a whole school for collective worship. Afterwards it is time for our Maths learning where we enjoy working practically, completing flashbacks and daily challenges to support our learning.
We all enjoy snack time in our wonderful Penshurst grounds before Reading, Writing and Spelling. We try to find a moment to pause and complete our daily mile as a class. Soon enough it is time for lunch with our friends, it is a great time to chat to familiar faces from other classes and everyone knows each other well. After lunch children work across the curriculum, applying themselves with enormous energy in a range of learning linked to our CUSP curriculum units of learning, PE, RE and Music.
