Computing
At Penshurst CE Primary School, we believe that every child has the right to a curriculum that enables them to be a global citizen in an ever-changing world. We understand the immense value that technology plays in the day to day lives of our children and families and the importance of giving them the knowledge and skills to not only access technology safely, but use it to better their lives and the lives of those around them.
We use Purple Mash to teach our Computing curriculum and have a full class set of iPads and Chrome Books so that all children can be actively involved in the learning in each session. We place an incredibly high priority on Online Safety, with children doing discrete units on it each year, as well as it being interwoven into all the Purple Mash units. This will ensure that our children leave us at the end of Year 6 excited and knowledgeable about the benefits of technology and how they can use it to support their future learning and careers, but also with the skillset to ensure they are able to keep themselves and other safe online.
