Welcome to Oak Class
We are a mixed class of year 5 and 6 pupils; covering the upper key stage 2 curriculum. The class teaching team is made up of Ms Bettridge – our class teacher our Teaching Assistant is Mrs Lane and Ms Earnshaw offers learning support too.
In Oak class we focus on being prepared for the next step in our education so that we are secondary ready. The school’s vision and values support us so that we can be resilient and demonstrate independence.
Most mornings consist of Maths, English, Reading and Spelling; in the afternoon we focus more on the wider curriculum subjects such as PE, history, art etc.
Each year we are lucky enough to experience a range of trips and visits to enhance our curriculum learning. We also take part in a school residential trip and the year usually ends with a musical production.
